Hi again, my dear students! 
I am here again because we
are going to go on studying the history of Spain, in this case, the fall of the Empire (we studied the begining of the Empire in the previous unit).

Please, help me to stretch my dock to the maximum to travel!

1st session. Friday 29/10
INTRODUCTION 

1.    Let's review the exam of the previous unit and comment some mistakes and how well you have done it.


2.    FORUMIn pairs or in groups of 3 students, look for information on the Internet about who were the Habsburgs and the Bourbons. 

Then, write four lines more and less for each one.


3.     Let's analyse together the picture who appears in the first two pages of this new Unit.



4.    Let’s reflect together about how Spanish has changed since the Middle Ages until the start of the 17th century.



2nd session. Monday 01/11

1. WHAT PROBLEMS DID THE THREE HABSBURG KINGS FACE?

2.    Watch again the previous video and say True or False. If a sentence is false, write why.

- Felipe IV became king younger, when was teenager.

- Carlos II succeeded Felipe IV with only three years old.

- Felipe IV had children.

 

3.    Complete and amplify the time line we have been doing since Unit 1.



3rd session. Wednesday 03/11

REVIEW

1.    Let’s remember what we learned the last day. For this, we are going to use our time line and you have to count to me what happened.

1.With your partner, look for information on the Internet about ONLY ONE of the following artists (5 lines more and less) and upload a picture of one of their art works (DON’T FORGET TO WRITE THE TITTLE).

5th session. Monday 08/11

REVIEW 

1.    Together, let’s do a family tree of this unit on the board. Then, you will copy it in your notebook. I will post the most beautiful of them in the Blog. 



5. HOW DID JORGE JUAN MEASURE THE WORLD? LET'S DO IT! 

2.    SUPER ACTIVITY: Let’s calculate the height of our school! You will do it in pairs or in groups of three.

For this, we need:

- paper

- clue

- cardboard

- scissors

- sticky tape

- straw

- ruler

- metal weight

- measuring tape

 You have to follow the steps of your book, page 37. 



6th session. Wednesday 10/11

6. WHAT HAPPENED TO MADRID UNDER CARLOS III?

Then, write a little opinion about it.

3.    Let’s make a virtual excursion to the Museo del Prado and we are going to see some artworks of this period. We will review the contents of unit with them and we will reflext together.

PRESENTATION OF THE SUPER PROJECT AND REVIEW. 

1.    Presentation of the project.


2.    In pairs or in groups of 3 people, let’s play Kahoot. The members of each team will have the same mark in this mini test. For this, use the following sheet.

















9th session. Wednesday 17/11

MINI EXAM. 

1.    Fill the following worksheet. Try to remember everything you have learned. I'm sure you can.

You can use your notebook during 5 minutes when the teacher gives the signal to look for information that you do'nt remember. But you will only find it quicly if you have worked in class and studied at home.

Good luck! You have 40 minutes.



2.    When you finish your exam, you can continue with the cover of Unit 3.
