Unit 7


 




HELLO BACK HERE, GUYS! 👋

As you already know, during this new unit, we will get to see the geography of our country, Spain! 


INTRODUCTION.1st session. Wednesday 2/02

Here you have the activity we have done in class in which we have learned more about our autonomous community, Andalusia!





You are going to become a tourist agency. Follow the steps below:



1. Name of the tourism agency.  

2. Look for 3 sports practiced outdoors in your autonomous community.

3. Choose one of them and find out where and when they are most commonly practiced.

4. Now, with a sentence, try to convince the rest of your classmates to practice it.

Hi guys! As you know Andalusia is the autonomous community where we live, but... it's not the only one!




Have you ever been in another autonomous community different from Andalusian?

 If so, tell us about your experience, and if not, which one would you like to visit?

 -Here you have a song in which all the autonomous communities and cities in Spain appear.

 Try to memorize it because tomorrow we will sing it in class!

WHERE IN THE WORLD AM I? 2nd Session. Friday 4/02

Now, it's time to draw our own map of Spain! I will give you a map like the below and you must cut out the silhouettes of the different autonomous communities and cities and stick them in their corresponding places. You should also indicate their name and their corresponding capital. 




First put them on top without gluing as you think is right. Before gluing, watch the video again and correct, if necessary or you will fill in the missing ones.

Finally, you have to do some research on each of them and draw a picture on the map that represents them, whether it is their flag, customs, typical food... BE CREATIVE!

 


BORDERS OF SPAIN.3rd Session. Monday 7/02

INVESTIGATION ACTIVITY! 👀👀

We have already learned and remembered what communities and cities Spain is made up of, but... what is there outside Spain?

You have to find out what is on the borders of Spain.



Write down the ones you find on your handmade map. Then we will check what you have completed about the main borders of Spain. Here is a reference map: 




For the rest of the class and before starting with the mountain ranges and rivers of Spain, in class, we review what we have learned, but in a more fun way... with interactive games! 😝

 

We make two teams, you will go to the digital board one by one and each correct guess will be 1 point, the team with more points will win!

FORUM ACTIVITY!

You know that in the next sessions, we will start with the rivers and mountain ranges of Spain, right?

 

You should know that you are going to recreate your own 3D maps! 😱


So that you are well prepared, here is a video with all the information you will need. Take note of all the names that appear and note their location! 


If you prefer, you can draw the map in your notebook. 

 

CREATE YOUR OWN 3D MAP. 4th Session. Wednesday 9/02

The activity of today will consist of making a physical map of Spain, in which you in groups of 5 people will cover with colored plasticine (blue, green, yellow, brown and white) the mountain ranges, the rivers and the seas of Spain.

You will need large cardboard, a pencil, and a black marker to previously draw the physical elements, and colored plasticine (blue, green, orange, brown, white) to fill in this map so that it will be highlighted. 

You will also have to mark the names of these elements with small posters and stuck them in the clay with a toothpick!!

Today we are going to finish your incredible 3D maps activity. Remember when yo finish yo will present it to the rest of the class.

We have already located the most important rivers in Spain but in today's class, we are going to investigate a little more about them.

FORUM ACTIVITY!

To finish knowing the rivers we have in Spain, would you be able to find out which is the longest river in Spain? And the widest?


TIME FOR REVISION.7th Session. Wednesday 16/02

It's time for revision! In today's class, we are going to make two teams. We are going to play some interactive games and do some fun quizzes to remember what we have learned!

 

Each correct guess will be 1 point, and the team with the most points at the end of the class will be the winner. Here are the links for you to continue practicing at home.

TIME TO EVALUATE. 8th Session. Friday 18/02

Today is the day to evaluate what we have learned. To do this, you are going to make interactive worksheets.


There is only one condition: you can't get less than a 9!

So, repeat the worksheet as many times as necessary.
